Even today, The Real World is stil the forerunner of the American reality show genre. The reality genre has mass appeal. Because of this, MTV started to create more reality-based shows. As more reality shows were created, the MTV network made the executive decision to create another network channel to further the demands of viewers. So, they created M2, formally known today as MTV2. As MTV started adding reality shows, the air-time for music videos began to decrease incrementally. The original purpose for M2 was to broadcast the most recent music videos of the decade through commercial-free air time both on television and online streaming. This would hopefully bring in more viewers because of the lack of commercial interruptions. However, because M2 ââ¬Å"was restricted to less widely available digital cable and satellite television, which limited its audience reach to around 12 million homes by 2000. Organizational Behavior Organization and Management Research
Question: Discuss about the Organizational Behaviorfor Organization and Management Research. Answer: Organization and Management Research is in Danger of Becoming Irrelevant Research is not restricted to medical science and technology but is one of the important components for an organization. An organization includes people and the team members who run the business. Success of a business depends upon the decision taken by its people. Managers in the organization require access to information about the company in order to make decisions. In-house research is required in case of professional development of employees through training and development. Research is required in each area which helps in implementation of policies and procedures (Mats, Sandberg 2013). This will help in bringing a positive change to the organization. Traditionally the ultimate constituent for an organization research were managers. As the organization kept growing the demand for managerial research developed. With regard to the employees, a properly conducted research reveals crucial information about the organization. The analysis will help the manager to bring out the changes t hat enable organization to function efficiently. The employees can be trained according to the research made (Jrgen, Alvesson 2011). This will enable personal and professional development of the employee. The information collected though pope accounting and financial system will help in taking decisions on the possibility of growth. Eventually it is research that help in sustenance of a company. Many organizations have fallen because of neglecting research. Organization and management theory has been developing over six decades that has accelerated the growth effectively. The organizational theory is master key to unlock contemporary societies in order to understand managerial strategies. In the article Celebrating Organization Theory, by Mike Lounsbury and Christine Beckman the assessment regarding the richness and diversity at workplace is discussed. The revolution in communication and technology has created a necessity of research. Thus it is important to notice the changes occurring in the organization. Apart from an extensive research made in the past years there is an incremental gap in the research management (Mats, Spicer 2016).The enormous expansion of management in the last decades has created a growth. One can perhaps expect a boost in the performance due to innovative organizational research. It is interesting to know that the organizations once working in an efficient manner are not expected to give similar results. Constan t enhancement and development of the business and the team is necessary to gain a competitive advantage. This is only possible through the research. Performance management is an important procedure to facilitate excellent results. A proper understanding of employees behavior is necessary to enhance the performance. In this competitive atmosphere it is relevant to understand the behavior of fellow team mates to encourage high level productivity. A proper and efficient approach towards the organization will help in encouraging performance. Research is required at every level in order to comply with the various requirements associated with it. It is very well-necessary that the organization growth is only possible if both job and occupation are well-aligned. The shift over years in performance management of employees has raised serious concerns. This has raised the necessity of research in an organization (Gerald 2015). The question over the purpose of organizational research doesnt make it interest-free. The positivistic self understanding of science has dominated the idea of value freedom. In order to explain the knowledge interest behind organizational research it is necessary to describe it as multi-paradigmatic. The aim of doing research is to examine the necessity and usefulness in given context. The researchers need to be aware about the plurality of different opinion that led to an organizational research. In order to understand the difference it is necessary to consider various opinions that are residing in. this will help in evaluating a vivid paradigm of organization interest (John 2016). Acknowledgement is therefore necessary to give it an effective base to further make a sustainable opinion. The researchers therefore need to make a conscious choice regarding the developments taking place in the organization. Being ignorant about the changes in the organization is not a suitable option. Researchers need to engage themselves in an activity that helps in enhancing the productivity in an organization. The organizational phenomenon doesnt rest upon the invariable social laws. They rely on real performers in an organization. They have a great potential to influence and change the previous beliefs in the organization. It is there heavy responsibility of the researcher to find out the true necessity. The report presented by the researcher has a great responsibility to meet the future requirements of organization. The organizational research has a responsibility to meet the requirements of organization in an effective manner. This will help in providing an enriched experience in an organization. The efficiency of employees is an important parameter necessary to make estimation about the growth. This is eventually important to evaluate the different aspect related to the organizational growth. In long term it is necessary to find out most effective and efficient procedure in order to attain remarkable growth. It is essential for an organization to evaluate all necessary procedures impor tant to make remarkable difference. In a competitive atmosphere this has become a necessity that the organization needs to focus on essential factors in order to attain significant growth (Michael, Beckman 2015). Over the years this has been significantly noticed that the growth is only possible if changes are implemented efficiently. Monotony in work leads to inefficient results. This may hamper the overall productivity in an organization. For futuristic purpose this has become important to conduct a thorough organizational research. It is the job of the researchers to find out the most appropriate functions in order to evaluate current and future growth. The main purpose of an organization is to evaluate the most effective and efficient tools to attain high level of positivity (Richard, Wood-Harper 2016). It is an essential part for organizations to understand the importance of research. This will help in enhancing the overall performance in order to attain growth. Changes in the organization can only be implemented if they are aware about the loopholes. A thorough study is important to recognize the importance of growth and development in the modern organization. Whereas, the manager have enormous burden to delegate the activities given to them. The purpose of a modern organization is to work under the functional hierarchy. Research in the field helps in attaining a sustained growth by dividing work into fragments. Large size business organizations are often finding difficulty in managing the organization. It is therefore important for an individual to find out the purpose of the research conducted in the organization. The limited and restricted involvement in organizational activities leads to short term growth. The process provides with a proper solution to be implemented in order to transform organization. The performance of the employees can only be attaining if the flaws are detected at an early stage. Scholars are facing problems in conducting research to find out the effective part in an organization. For real progress it is essential to implement the most effective procedure in attaining organizational goals. The input and output of a n individual working in an organization vary. It is essential to evaluate the effective measurement tools that are necessary to understand the changes. Over the year there has been an increase in the process theories in order to understand the research in a systematic and integrated manner (John 2015) The process theories are an important tool to understand the various group dynamics and study the management process in order to evaluate the managerial behavior. There is a necessity to evaluate an immediate level of analysis. In this diverse atmosphere it is essential for an organization to make inferences on the basis of the research made (Kevin 2014). This process helps in managing the integrated functioning while ensuring work practice. This provides a new insight into the managerial behavior while managing different roles, activities and allocation. In a process supported by contrast the overall focus is ensure a link in between activities. This provides a rational insight to overall work. The organization needs to review a wide range of activities that requires being met according. The simple organizational process is inter-linked with the different sort of organizational process. The organizational model primarily requires focus to be directed in an effective manner. The oper ational and administrative process share different common things. The only difference lies in the nature of the activities. Organization can function efficiently if both are aligned in a proper manner. The work process approach is familiar with the managers where they are heavily emphasizing on the quality attained from the function. The research process thereby circulates efficiency in order to attain efficiency. The focus needs to be redesigned in a manner that the organization is able to meet the performance goals. In order to eliminate the inefficiencies in the process it is however necessary to redesign the overall process through process management. It is necessary to ensure quality at work. It is the primary responsibility of an individual to focus on implementing efforts that are necessary (Alan Bell 2015). The purpose is to ensure integration and overcoming the traditional functional loyalties. Intense research in this field ensures growth. The quality movement is only possible if one make desirable changes in order to attain desired results. Organizational research has importance in current context where there is an excessive competition. It is difficult for an organization to manage different departments in an effective manner (Mats, Gabriel 2013) Research in management organization is helping in organizing resources properly. It is however implemented at different stages in an organization that one should focus on organizing resources. Different researchers have given update regarding the changes in an effective manner (Walter, Motowidlo 2014). The aim of doing research is to examine the necessity and usefulness in given context. Researchers are exploring the situation occurring in an organization by developing various portfolios. Flaws detected at any stage are used lately to resolve the issues. Large size business organizations are finding issues in managing the problems at various stages (Marlene 2014). The author around the world is discussing problems occurring in managing large size organization. Under such a scenario it has become relevant to detect various issues. This is however necessary to persistently work in by managing the issues (Coghlan, Brannick 2014). Every author has a different approach towards a problem. They understand the complication one is facing in meeting the problems. Organization whether big or small needs an in-house research team to meet the end result. There is a constant debate among the fellow debaters that research is sometimes wastage for an organization. It adds an extra pressure on the organization to develop an effective research procedure. Another debate is regarding adoption of a quantitative research technique evolved (Donald 2013). It is necessary to understand that the research conducted by different organization has a long term impact. This is essential to notice that the information collected from different sources sometimes varies. It is necessary to understand that an organization in order to develop various efficacies has to face serious consequences. It is not only the solution that the figures mention in research varies from one organization. Every organization has different parameter to understand the growth (Yuan, Haowen,/ Liu, and Peng 2014). This forms an important part in order to attain high degree of efficacy at work. To conclude it is necessary to consider various theories that are given by different authors in order to understand the importance of effective managerial tools in research. Different organization implements different research technique in order to understand the situation. It is necessary to develop an effective tool to understand the difference in managing the efficiencies at work. Various organizations are now using the management research tools to conduct the research in an effective manner. There focus is to understand the situation in order to consider the future consequences. This is necessary for an organization to implement efficient resources in order to make relevant changes. This is one of the effective tools used by the organizations nowadays in order to make an inference. References Alvesson, Mats, and Jrgen Sandberg. "Has management studies lost its way? The idea of changes in the composition of a popula Essays - Biology
The idea of changes in the composition of a population being attributable to changes in its environment has been an extremely useful. With this perspective, we can coherently account for the distribution of forms in the fossil record, for example. However, great interest also lies in speciation , which occurs when populations that for some reason cease to interbreed become different enough to lose all ability to interbreed. (In actual life, the boundaries between species are not always absolute varieties only gradually evolve into species, after all and it has been found that occasional fertile crosses between closely simi lar species do occur.) The rule-of-thumb of fertile offspring as defining species remains the way most biologists think of it, but the possible exceptions have generated complexities in classifica tion and in modeling gene flow. A p opulation split in half by a n un crossable barrier c an over time develop huge differences between its two parts. The most famous example of this process, called "allopatric" "different country" speciation, is the squirrels of the Grand Canyon, who have diverged into different species on the two sides of the Canyon. But w hen the genotype of a single, inbreeding population changes gradually over time, at what point should we say it has turned into a new species? Our "rule of thumb" about producing fertile offspring can hardly be applied to two different points in the history of the same population. And yet if the differences between early and late specimens are substantial, can we be confident in calling them the same species? As an intellectual matter, it is difficult to know when one continuously changing population should be regarded as a different species from its remote ance stors. As a practical matter, it is also difficult to know how specimens available for study are actually related to each other anyway. If two fossil snake teeth look similar, but neither looks exactly like any modern snake, were they separate species, or were they merely two slightly different variants of the same species? And is either of them ancestral to any modern snake? Many specialists in prehistoric life paleontologists tend to assume that speciation occurs relatively easily when plant or animal communities are separated, and they argue that the default assumption should be that two specimens should be assumed to be different species until they can be convincingly shown to be the same (which is hard to demonstrate with extinct forms). Others argue that speciation is in fact relatively difficult. Barring intervention with atomic bombardment, we have not succeeded in changing a genotype sufficiently to make it a whole new species just through selective breeding alone. (That is why all dogs are still the same species.) The best assumption when looking at prehistoric forms should therefore be that two similar specimens should be considered to belong to the same species until shown to have more variation between them than is exhibited in a modern population of similar animals, if there is one. All of this becomes particularly controversial in the case of proto-humans. Darwin did not explore the evolution of humans indeed only one clearly pre-human hominid fossil had been discovered when he published The Origin of Species Through Natural Selection in 1859. Since humans look a lot like modern Great Apes, it seemed logical that we should have a common ancestor with them, but that was about as much as one could say. In some respects, the exact ways in which we draw the lines among species may not make much difference. The more we learn about genetics, the more obvious it becomes that what matters most is not the label given to a form, but our understanding of the over-all process of evolutionary transformation that is continually going on. Geneticists are ever refining more detailed "family trees" of biological forms based on the inheritance of specific gene mutations . In these family trees, it makes no significant difference where one species stops and the next begins. What matters is where mutations occur that are inherited by future generations.

Field trip to ShenZhen Essays
Field trip to ShenZhen Essays Field trip to ShenZhen Essay Field trip to ShenZhen Essay However, through the field trip to Sheehan, the sentence has convinced me that this is exactly the description f the ethnic minority people there. They are the catchers in Sheehan. On the 17th of November, we human class took a trip to the China Folk Culture Villages in Sheehan for the purpose of getting to know the current life of ethnic minority people who have immigrated to cities. I was expecting a normal tour as usual, while the trip turned out to be surprisingly fascinating, especially the direct communication part. Not only did we visit the villages there, but also we interviewed the ethnic minority performers personally. : After that, the talk with the Guru hawkers in Futile District has brought me insights to the ethnic minority peoples life as well. Besides, my report will be divided in three parts, the visit part, the interview part and the conclusion. The Visit Part As we arrived at the China Folk Culture Villages, a strong atmosphere of traditional Chinese art burst upon our view. The huge statue of a bull figure at the gate was decorated with traditional Chinese garment, which indicated the start of our trip of Chinese ethnic minority culture. The first stop at the Dad Village gave us a view of traditional Dad peoples life. The Dad architecture was mainly bamboo towers. As was located in the Dad Village, the major structure of the bamboo tower was on the second floor. The second floor included the dining room, a kitchen, some bedrooms and storage, where we could have an open view on the platform outside the rooms. According to the spinning machine lying on the platform, the Dad people living in their autonomy area tended to live a self-sufficient life and they were likely to plant their own food. Decorated on the door, the spring festival couplets were written in Thai language. Apart from it, the statues of elephants indicated that the Dad culture could date back to Thailand. The costume the Dad performer wore was so attractive that I couldnt help thinking about why the minority people tend to use a variety of colors on their clothes. Take the traditional Dad costume as an example. Black, red, yellow, green and blue filled out the cloth, which brought people a positive and energetic feeling. I did receive such feeling when I was looking at the costume, so I guess the origin of the colorful traditional clothes might lie in the fact that the people lived in the remote area had more opportunities to get close to the nature. Another conceivable reason might be the color of the nature. Since they were always communicating with nature, they absorbed the color of nature to their costume so as to express their respect and love for nature. On the other hand, I firmly hold the view that the ethnic minority people used the colors to get rid of the feeling of loneliness. I have paid a visit to Shanghai-La, Yuan and the similar view in the China Folk Culture Villages Just reminded me of my experience. When I was standing in the field of Shanghai-La, I felt a little lonely because I seemed to be the only and one person in the open area. I could communicate to no one but nature. However, the ethnic minority people there had to spend their whole life in the remote and open area so they had to add the light and various colors on their clothes so as to get rid of the loneliness. I didnt know whether my explanation was true, but I enjoyed the thinking during the trip very much. Then we crossed the Dong Wind Rain Bridge to reach the Yea Village. It was a very interesting experience to cross the bridge. I could even imagine the ethnic minority people gathered together on the bridge, seated themselves along the bridge and were elated to chat with each other since the professor told me that he Wind Rain bridge was used to hold a festival or a gathering. Compared with this bridge, those stone bridges in Ghanaian area, designed by Han people, emphasized more attention on the carving of stone rather than the usage. Quite different from the stone bridges in Ghanaian, the Wind Rain Bridge had ceiling, Civilian House, I was a little shocked to the appearance and the structure of the house. It was so similar to the Han architecture. The dining room was in the center of the house, and the cupboards or so was in the nearby kitchen, which was exactly how the objects were organized in the Shipmen house where I lived in my childhood. I could see the cooking on the table with the dim light while the photos were hung on the wall. According to the comments taught in class, Yea people were divided into many groups such as Yahoo, Honey and Papaya. I also found that the name of Yea was from the kiln, which had the same pronunciation with Yea in Chinese. A stove in the middle of the dining room indicated the cold weather in the place Yea people lived. According to the information I found online, Yea were living primarily in Axing and Yuan where were mainly mountain regions. There was one small Tate in the dining room, indicating the Yea peoples religion for ancestor worship. Yea peoples religion mainly included nature, totem, ancestor worship and Christianity, which shared a large similarity with the religions of Han people. Theres also a statue in my grandmothers house, which is used to memorize the past relatives. After that, we went to the Hi Civilian House. Unlike the previous houses or villages, it was an open place which was mainly used to display farm implements and grinders. Judging by the stone grinders, the Hi culture seemed to feed on a variety of crops including corns, rice as well as wheat. There was also a watermill outside the Hi Civilian House along the river. When I was concentrating myself on the watermill, some crisp noise from the other side of the road caught my attention. The sound was so unique that I thought there must be someone in a special kind of boots walking behind. However, the result didnt appear to be so. It was a special-designed device located in the stream that ran downwards the hill. The professor said that it was used to drive away the rats in case of their stealing the crops. Just as the Hi people living in Yuan together with the Maxi people, the Maxi Civilian House was organized lose to the Hi Civilian House. The moment we entered this area was the most exciting part to me because it reminded me of my trip to Yuan province about five years ago. When it came to the topic of Yuan, I always had endless words to express my appreciation for the unique and amazing culture, scenery and folkway there. Although Professor Ma said the wind-bell was from Japanese culture instead of Maxi culture, I still loved the view full of wind-bells with a riot of color. The visitors have written their wishes, pray and blessings on the wooden wind-bells. On the back of the wind-bells, there tended to be Sino-Tibetan figures. As for the offshoot of Sino- Tibetan, the language used specific pictures to express the meaning of the things around the Maxi people. It was recorded on the board that the culture of wind-bell was originated from the ancient tea route. Flying to the hometown and bringing peace and happiness, the noise was gone with the wind. Then I remembered an anecdote told by one Maxi person, whose name was He Kiang, when I was in Yuan. He Kiang said that the Maxi people had only two surnames that were He and Mum. Mum was the surname of the governors in old times so that only the noblemen could use he Chinese character Mum. Thus, He was the surname for all the great masses of people. I was then curious about the reason why the Maxi people would choose He as their surname since Mum was quite easy to explain. He Kiang wrote down the the inside Mum can be regarded as a man, then the stroke above the Mum looks like a hat while the square beside the Mum is like basket, which drew the vivid picture of a Maxi farmer, also is the normal civilian. I appreciated the creativity of the Maxi people from this anecdote but also felt depressed for their strong sense of hierarchy. Across he Maxi civilian house, we entered the Most wooden house. The house was log- fenced with comparatively good performance of protecting insiders from the cold in winter and the hot in summer. Moreover, the structure of the wooden house was similar to the Sheehan, a classical architectural style of Han people in China. The implementation of both of Sheehan and the wooden house comprised of a middle garden surrounded by four houses. As for the Most wooden house, the principal room faced the south and was generally used as the grandmas room where the oldest woman of the family stayed. The four houses were all two-storey high, which included approximately six rooms for the members of the family and each daughter had one room for walking marriage. Finally, we went to the ethnic area of Luau Nationality. Since it was a village to display the culture of the nationality, the serious problems brought by the modernization were not reflected at all. There was a simple house covered by straw in the area and inside lay some Purer leaves. As was mentioned in the class, Luau people made a living by planting and selling Purer leaves. As we walked through the China Folk Culture Villages, we experienced the story as well as the traditional life of the specific ethnic minority people. They did add to the cultural diversity in China greatly. We had great fun in the villages while the real and current life of ethnic minority people were hidden. Thus, in the next part, I would like to write about the interview with the ethnic minority performers and two Guru people in Sheehan. The Interview Part During our visit in the China Folk Culture Villages, we interviewed three groups of ethnic minority people. They worked as the regular performers in the China Folk Culture Villages, representing their nationality. However, due to the limited cost of villages, some of them had to perform the dance of other ethnic minority groups. The first group was two Yea people who were an elder sister and her younger brother. They introduced their traditions including the dance with long drums the singing competition that was held once every 18 years. They also introduced the immigration situation that there were over 60 Yea people had settled down abroad. As for the change of life in their hometown, they said that most young Yea people no longer lived in the traditional houses, buildings organized in rows, while some old t is with the traditional costumes. The old people had no passion for the fashion and lived a self-sufficient life in the mountain area so they still wore the traditional costume. In contrast, young Yea people were free to dress the convenient and fashionable clothes. Then they talked about their current life. The siblings wouldnt go back to their hometown because they had to do the performance for the visitors in Sheehan so they Just took the annual holiday. Compared with the workers in Shanghai, my hometown, the siblings shared the similarly hard life with them. They loud rather sacrifice their time with the parents than enjoy the luxury holiday life in city. Although they were still young as us, they had already taken the burden of making money and supporting their family. I am also staying in a city far away from my hometown, but Im still living on my parents and I only have to study in HOOK, not to work. I wonder what impact would such lonely experience leave on them. In my humble opinion, they are likely to become more mature than us in dealing with the hardship in reality. However, in some aspects they may be simpler than us. For example, they are more unsophisticated when they are dealing with people in life. The younger brother said he was really confused when he saw some the disabled beggars on the overpass. He wanted to help them but he wasnt sure whether they were Just cheaters. He added that he had little communication with the citizens due to the nature of his Job. I think this is a common problem for the ethnic minority people working in cities. The confusion may mainly result from the simple society in their hometown. In the mountain area, they deal with only the natural objects. Trees, crops and animals have kept them company for over ten years. The neighbor relationships are harmonious and simple and everybody is likely to know all the other villagers. As a result, ethnic minority people lack the experience in handling such complex situation. Apart from it, the simple environment in mountain areas may leave an influence on the ethnic minority people that they are more benevolent and pure. Their characteristics make it difficult for them to survive in the complicated city. The second group of ethnic minority people was several girls. They also chose to stay in work during the Spring Festivals. They said that they would go shopping with other girls when they had spare time. It was quite glad to hear that they would go with the girls from city because both they themselves and the city girls wouldnt care anything about the nationality. Im really happy to know that they have friends in cities because this will give them more opportunities to communicate as well as to know about the city as well as the citizens. And they wont feel lonely then. The third group of people is actually one optimistic man from Yuan. He was a Maxi person who has worked in Sheehan for about ten years. So talkative was he that he not only told us about his life in city but also his past life in his hometown. The better economic situation in city absorbed him here. His performer life replaced arable farming and hunting. He also mentioned that he used to plant bananas and Purer leaf in Yuan. He said everything was going on well in Sheehan except the fact that he was not used to the life here because of the lack of salt in the food. The optimistic feeling he delivered when he talked really convinced me that he was living an enjoyable life in Sheehan. Besides, it seems that one essential reason why ethnic minority people leave their hometown and work hard in the city is the higher salary they can earn. One hawker laid a cart that was used to store the local snacks from Gaining. He had been worked in Sheehan for seven years. He complained that his snacks sold better in weekdays because lots of Sheehan citizens would go out for a trip at weekends. As for the income, he mentioned that he could earn about 10 thousand Yuan monthly. He also mentioned that the expense of home charge was about 2 thousand and 8 hundred Yuan and he didnt need to pay for the mains. It was said that his fellow countrymen would go to Guanos, Asian and Human for work. He reminded me of such hawkers in Shanghai. My parents used to tell me to get away from Guru hawkers because they usually got into a group and it would be dangerous if I contacted one snacks seller. Besides, it seemed lots of pickpocket were from Gaining. Thus, in the past years in Shanghai, I havent talked with Guru people for even one time. However, I was astonished when I talked with this Guru hawker in Sheehan. He was so kind and tame that I didnt believe he would do the evil things as my parents told me. I think this anecdote did reflect our incorrect view on Guru people. We are used to identifying them as the unkind people but its not fair or erect at all. They Just wanted to make a living in the city so that they can support their family in hometown. They already suffer from the discrimination when applying for a Job because of their religion so we should never give the cold shoulder on them. An approach of communication during a sale is a good and easy way to break the ice. The other Guru person ran a barbecue place nearby. He had been worked in Sheehan for six years. He mentioned the tough problems he had to deal with when he Just arrived here. He couldnt find a store place to start up his barbecue business during his first year in Sheehan. Fortunately, things got better and he didnt have such problems now. He said that lots of his countrymen would gather together and celebrated the traditional holidays in Gaining. They sang and danced and had a good time. At the end of our interview, his little son came to his shop. It could be seen obviously that he loved his son very much and it was a warm family. I found an interesting thing during our conversation with the Guru people. They could speak Chinese but not so well. If I spoke a little faster, they felt very hard to follow me, so I asked them how they learnt the language. They both said that they didnt know Chinese at all when they first came to Sheehan. Even a single word could be difficult for him to get clear. Then they paid great efforts to learn Chinese so as to survive in the city. I was quite touched when hearing this because they were always trying their best to get involved in the city life. On the other hand, we did nothing to adopt them. The Guru hawker said that he did his business in Futile District because they were not allowed to set the cart in the other area in the city. For the whole Sheehan city, they had only the small area in the district where ethnic minority people gather to cake a living. How pathetic! So flourishing and large Sheehan is but no place else could adopt them! I think there do exist lots of things left to the government for improving the ethnic minority people in cities. The above part is my interview with the ethnic minority people. Apart from it, I also asked my prepared questions. The first question was how they got access to education in their childhood. The Yea siblings said they didnt come to Sheehan until they finished their high school study. The education resources are not rare in their hometown, but there is still little nettings in his high school but due to the lack of money he couldnt enter Art College. As a result, he is now working in the China Folk Culture Villages. The Maxi young man said that he was lucky to attend the university of tourism. He studied the ethnic minority culture there so he finally decided to work in this China Folk Culture Villages. Besides, he is now studying the traditional culture of Maxi so as to present better to the visitors in the villages. He also mentioned another reason that he was very willing to get educated because he wanted to go to the cities; he wanted to see whether the outer world was the same as the one he has imagined for years. I think lots of young ethnic minority people have the eagerness to reach the outer world and to try something fresh to them. They would like to earn money in cities and to improve the living standard in their hometown. However, the location of their hometown and the lack of resources have gasped them from the cities. Education seems to be the best way to link the ethnic minority people with the citizens. We should also promote the education in the places lacking such resources. Currently, there are more and more young people offering assistance to improve the schooling n backward areas. I quite agree with the practice but I think theres a lot to improve. For example, as is told by the younger brother whose nationality is Yea, some schools in their hometown have exchange tours with the schools in some cities but they never contact each other after the exchange. I think so it is with the assistance to improve the schooling in backward areas. The children lose contact with the teachers as soon as the teachers leave the school. Its so hard for the teachers to keep in touch with the children in the mountain area due to a variety of reasons such as the fisticuff in transportation of the mails or the lack of online communication resources. The second question is whether the ethnic minority workers are going to stay in Sheehan for a lifelong time. As for this question, all of the people I have interviewed first expressed their strong feeling of missing home. Although they all claimed to have been used to the life in the city, they mentioned the food that were greatly different from that in hometown. I think this answer have implied their inadvisability to some extent. As they talked more about this question, they gradually aid that they would return to their hometown years later. Their parents are still in the mountain area and it seems extremely difficult for them to move into the city since the old people have little capability of make a living, which to some degree stimulates the young ethnic minority people to move back to their hometown. Although they said that they wouldnt mind the nationality of their conceivable mate in the future, they were more likely to marry the people with the same nationality. I reach the conclusion because of some reasons. Firstly, they can speak the same language apart from Chinese. For instance, the siblings used to speak Yea language. Secondly, the people with the same nationality can solve the problem of raising the old people more easily. The two families could support each other in many aspects. Last but not least, the money they earn in the city now is still limited, which I think is a barrier for them to survive in the city foe a lifelong time. They havent got the healthcare insurance or the public accumulation fund for housing construction yet, which makes it harder for them to live a normal citizen life. All in all, the impressive field trip to Sheehan really inspired me in many problems bout the current life of ethnic minority people that I have never come up with before. The insights are so unique that I would like to study further in these aspects. As for the conclusion, I want to summarize some of the points I have mentioned in the above part as well as give out some of my suggestions. First and foremost, theres a conflict between whether to apply modernization to the ethnic minority culture or not. As has been told by the people we interviewed, only the old people in their hometown are still living in the traditional houses and wearing the traditional costumes. Does it mean that the moment when the current young people become old, there will be no traditional culture of the ethnic minority people at all? The modernization can definitely raise the living standard as well as improve the ethnic minority peoples life but it will also help vanish the old things. In my humble opinion, we can improve the situation by changing the way we promote the culture. As for the appeal for the ethnic minority culture, the protection and spread need more innovation. The China Folk Culture Villages have already been a creative way of presenting the unique traditions of different nationalities. However, theres still a lack of interaction as well as further thoughts into the culture. What exhibits in the villages is mainly the visual heritage of the culture. Lots of anecdotes told by the performers are much more interesting than the instructions on the display board. The Maxi performer has said that he loved his culture and was willing to spread the traditional culture of Maxi people to the outer world. As can be seen, we can explore new ways of promotion. The protection and spread of the ethnic minority culture need more innovation not only in the culture villages but also in the range of society. Secondly, the ethnic minority people have difficulty in their involvement in the city. They face the problems of language, vacation and contacts with citizens. Although they have entered the cities and have worked in the cities, they tend to stay in the group of people with the same nationality. Its not because of their preference but the reality. The Maxi performer mentioned that he felt depressed sometimes because of the missing of home and the loneliness in Sheehan, but every time he was sad, he would think of the life in his hometown. He said that the village in his hometown as proud of him for his spreading the ethnic minority culture. In order to solve the problem of alienation, one suggestion is that maybe we should not divide them apart on purpose. Some policies is claimed to benefit the ethnic minority people but somehow they clarify them apart to some extent. They should have the right to share the similar or the same healthcare resources and education resources. As for the education, there should be something that can last for a lifelong time or even a circular form. The exchange programs with the schools in the remote ethnic areas doodads need a lot of improvements. As is said by Professor Ma, the reality of the ethnic minority people in Sheehan is not as good as theyve said. Although they all claim to have a good life in Sheehan, lots of potential problems need our attention. They stay in a marginal position in the city. The valuable work they offer havent people. They provide the citizens with the insights into the ethnic culture; they offer the convenience of life; they keep trying to get involved into the city and the modernized life; but theres little payback. The outer world do need to offer them a better environment.

The Dynamics of Design High Street and High Design Essay
The Dynamics of Design High Street and High Design - Essay Example The modern theory sticks to the similar assumption that jeans are a comfort statement, yet it also stresses on the fact that it is a necessity. Here, the modern theory takes off on a more interpretative note. While a pair of jeans are a necessity, the tone for luxury has been set by celebrities lending their names to a line of jeans and other designer jeans that 'fit and look better' than the normal brands. For example, while most people would opt for a pair of Lee or Levis', design high street fashion is achieved with Zara and Marks and Spencers', and high design is achieved by a couture label like Armani or that of Victoria Beckham's. On the other hand, within the modern theory comes the second twist. Here, design high street meets high design to a great extent when a celebrity endorses a certain brand. This can be better understood through the following lines: When something has been perceived, then it has been noted and the message is recorded. In the words of psychologist, W. H. Ittelson and F. T. Kilpatrick, perception can't be definite, of 'what is'. Rather what we perceive is created by ourselves, which is mostly based on past experiences (Arnorld,1992). Also people's perceptions of brand are governed by some factors which are personal and public. It is one of important challenges for an advertiser trying to reach the customers, either by any form of mass communication like newspaper, or television ad so that they could notice it. Even sometimes the consumer miss out some messages directed to them. So the main thing is to give them exposure. (Arnold, 1992, p. 241). For example if all the ads are in colors then a black and white will be noticed. So by this the customers attention can be taken. Awareness: Awareness implies that the message has made an impression on the audience or reader, who can then identify the pair of jeans. Although awareness is a low form of impact, but it is objective of a great ad. Relative low level of attention can create minimum awareness for low interest product (Sudijic,1985). . Brand equity: This is a very important concept from 1990s. This refers to the use of respected brand name to add value to the jeans. Branding is a way to help the customer's memory

European colonization Essay Example for Free
European colonization Essay Religion was a key factor for the European colonization but these events were all started by the Protestant Reformation. The Protestant Reformation triggered the events leading to the persecution of many people in many European countries. The Protestant Reformation was caused by Martin Luther and he opposed the church and made his own Lutheran Church. People all over Europe were inspired to make their own churches and religious beliefs which made religious persecution occur in many of the countries because they tried to suppress the rebellion of the Protestants. Religion had a profound effect on colonization because the Protestant Reformation caused great turmoil which lead to the persecution and conversion of the New World. Certain groups of religions were persecuted for the way they believed such as the Puritans and Huguenots after the Protestant Reformation. The Puritans arose after King Henry split from the Catholic Church because he could not get a divorce from his wife so he made the Anglican Church which led to the creation of these Puritans. The Puritans wanted to purify the Anglican Church of all the Catholic beliefs which caused much of England furious with these people and lead to the persecution of these people. The Pilgrims were a group of Puritans who were known as Separatists who wanted to break away from the Anglican Church and found the colony of Plymouth. Another group of Puritans followed John Winthrop who was convinced there was no future in England for Puritans made a joint-stock company called the Massachusetts Bay Colony and founded the colony of Massachusetts with several towns and a capital named Boston. This lead to even more colonization as conditions worsened in England which made thousands flock to the colonies which is known as the ââ¬Å"Great Migrationâ⬠. Even in these colonies which were found to stop persecution and have religious tolerance there was still persecution and this led to the creation of more colonies and so forth many people were banished from Massachusetts and made colonies of their own due to this religious persecution. The Huguenots were French Protestants which led to colonization of the New World by the French because in that time France was mainly a Catholic country and under King Louis XIV one million people settled South Carolina, while other found sanctuary in Rhode Island, New York, and Virginia. The religious freedom of some of the colonies brought many other people from different countries which increased colonization as well such as the Scots-Irish, Germans, and etc. Religious persecution brought people from all the European empires to the New World. The Spanish and French wanted to convert these ââ¬Å"Indiansâ⬠in to Catholicism so they could be favored by God as a holy country and were inspired to spread. This was also one of the main reasons the Spanish Monarchs wanted to colonize the New World. There were missions built all over New Spain so they could convert these Natives which indirectly made the Spanish colonies spread throughout much of what is now Latin America and the South-west region of the U. S. There was also a road that linked these missions together is what is now modern day California known as El Camino Real or the Royal Highway which spread the Spanish Colonies. There were also Jesuit priests who went to some of the farthest reaches or most hostile parts of New Spain to convert these Natives which spread these colonies further as the Jesuits built more and more missions in various places that were not yet colonized. These Jesuits also worked with the French to convert these Native Americans to Christianity in the New France region. They were known as ââ¬Å"black robesâ⬠by the Natives and the Jesuits tried to live with the Natives and convert them to the Catholic Faith. They also built missions in the New France region making New France larger as they converted more Natives. This increase in land allowed the people to spread and populate more land so more settler arrived. The Spanish and French kingdoms were driven to convert these Native Americans and this allowed them to spread in more and more land available so more people came and colonized New Spain and New France. This urge to colonize and convert was caused the Protestant Reformation. The Reformation made the events and steps which caused the church to be severed and caused conflict and persecution all over the European empires. People were inspired by Martin Luther bravery and made their own churches to defy the Catholic Church as it got weaker. This created the urge for most of the empires to convert the natives and spread. Religion had a profound effect on colonization because the Protestant Reformation caused great turmoil which lead to the persecution and conversion of the New World.

Frank and Rita in the First Scene of the Play :: Educating Rita Plays Willy Russell Essays
Frank and Rita in the First Scene of the Play To explore how Russell presents the characters of Frank and Rita during the first scene of the play. Russellââ¬â¢s play has been created to stretch out and grab the audiences attention, feelings and emotions right from the beginning of the play. In my essay I will aim to explore how he establishes the characters roles and how they interact with each other during the first scene of the play. Firstly, with the quote ââ¬Å"he manages a gulp at the whisky.â⬠Russell presents Frank as an alcoholic, this is because he is able to take a gulp of whisky without gasping or coughing so this shows that he is used to taking such large amounts. This may then lead to the audience feeling that Frank maybe an insecure person, as he has to turn to drink for comfort and security. Then when Rita first appears, with the quote ââ¬Å"Its that bleedinââ¬â¢ handle on that door, you wanna get it fixed!â⬠Russell is establishing the character of the play and their attitudes and distinctive personalities. With Rita she is shown as a boisterous person. This is clearly exposed with the words ââ¬Å"Bleedââ¬â¢nâ⬠¦You wanna get it fixedâ⬠as these words are commanding techniques and it shows to the audience in a short amount of time that Rita is in control. This would shock them as Rita is speaking improperly towards the teacher. Also with ââ¬Å"I think your marvellousâ⬠¦youââ¬â¢re the first breath of fresh air that has been in this room for ages.â⬠Russell now presents Frank as a flirtatious person who is attempting to chat up Rita. With the words ââ¬Å"first breath of fresh airâ⬠this show s that Frank doesnââ¬â¢t have many young ââ¬Å"freshâ⬠minds in his office to teach. The audience may feel sorry for Frank as he seems to have a lonely life in his darkened office and also how he seems to have given up on life. Following on from this with the quote ââ¬Å"look at those tits.â⬠Russell uses the word ââ¬Å"titsâ⬠to show to emphasise even more to the audience that Rita is different to the other students. She is an open minded and loud person who unintentionally makes herself out to be a person who is not afraid to say what she believes. So as a consequence the audience may be startled as Rita is not acting in the normal pupil to teacher register. Also they may feel that Rita is a loud person who is trying to cover up for being nervous one. To add to this, ââ¬Å"Wait a minute listen to meâ⬠¦youââ¬â¢re gonna bleedinââ¬â¢ well

Television and Parents
Moreover, they considered watching television as a hobby instead of doing healthier and benefiting activities, such as reading, exercising or interacting with other. Ever since the television become popular with films and programs, more and more children began to get obsessed with watching television. Parent's nowadays have become the prime targets of accusation. In fact, despite being the target of blame, they themselves were also unaware of the conditions themselves. On the contrary, the caretaker(s), whom was/were hired to babysat their children, are also a part of this blame. Part A: InterviewsFamily one Jesse Couch Wee Chin is thirty-nine years old, she works as a part-time piano teacher who teaches music at her own home. She has a family of four. Her husband works as an accountant. She has two adorable sons, Teeth Tweeze Gang, 9 years old, and Teeth Tweeze Junk, 5 years old. Jesse said she is aware of the statement above and strongly agrees that watching TV is indeed harmful, e specially to children. But there is no way that activities her sons love doing it very much, she said. Her children usually spent exactly an hour every weekday on watching TV while two hours on the weekend. They are only allowed to watch TV after they have finished their schoolwork. If their children did not follow the TV-watching schedule set by her, they will be banned from watching TV on the next following day. When it comes to the type of television programs that Sissy's children watch, she is quite selective about it. Her children usually watch educational television programs that are showed by Disney Channel such as Little Einstein(classical music), Handy Many(good manners) and Mackey Mouse Clubhouse(problems solving).Because besides learning skills that are taught n the television programs, her children have also picked up English language in a short period of time. Other television programs such as soap operas and cartoons such as Benny and Chowder are not allowed to watch be cause it does not contain any educational substance and the language used in those programs are improper. How does she knows about whether which program is suitable for her children to watch? She will spend her free time to watch all the television programs that is aired on Disney Channel and decides which ones are the best for her children. I cannot trust the TV guide whole-heartedly she said. So the way to solve this problem is to filter the TV programs by herself. Watching television is indeed harmful to children and there is no point avoiding watching TV Just because of that. ââ¬ËNot to avoid, but control. ââ¬Ë said Jesse. Family two Unite Eric Prefer is a thirty-five years old full-time housewife. She has three kids; their age ranging from seven to two years old. During the interview, she confessed about how busy her life is. With three young kids to take care of, and the never- ending house chores, she did not really paid attention to the statement.Apparently he is aware and heard of the statement, but had never taken it seriously. She has read on how TV harms kids. That is why she does not allow her kids to watch TV so often and she was surprise that watching TV would cause such harm to kids. ââ¬Å"Having said all that I still feel if there is a limit for the kids as to how often they get to watch the TV and what program they are watch then it should be fineâ⬠, she said during the interview. Since her children are still in pre-school and primary school, so, most of the TV programs that they watch are more towards cartoon channels such as ââ¬ËBen 10Alien Force' and ââ¬ËTom and Jerry. Also sometimes they watch Disney Channel movies like Pirates of the Caribbean, Lion King and Brother Bear. She said her eldest son likes watching Animal Planet and National Geographer's animal documentary as he has an interest for animals. When asked about how many hours her children usually spent on watching TV, she said ââ¬Ël only allow them to watch T V for 30 minutes a day during the week after they are back from school or at night after their homework is all done. However, during the weekend they get to watch longer depending on what vie or program they are watching. As a parent, Unite agreed that watching TV is harmful for her children, but then again on the bright side, some of the TV programs also helped her children to learn more and by watching those TV programs she realizes their proficiency of their language increases as well. However, if watching TV for long hours she agreed it is not only harmful but is also a waste of time. Everything pay more attention on her kid's time management on watching TV. Setting limits to the duration of time that her children spent on watching TV does not make watching TV harmful to them.Besides, she always encourages and sends her children for outdoor activities such as football, badminton and swimming to diversify them from being confined in the house and glued to the TV. ââ¬Å"l have be ing doing this for some years now and I find it helpful to my children as well as they don't seem to be obsessed with the TV set as compared to my friends children. ââ¬Å", she said. Family three An accountant with a family of four, Felicia Limp said she was completely unaware of the statement but it has arouse her interest as it may cause a huge impact to her children's health mental development. She never knew the harm that is caused by watching TV is so serious but she never really allowed her children to watch TV for long hours as she would rather them in engage with other activities like playing outdoor games or reading. The thirty-six years old mother said that her Pink Panther, Narrator, Fantastic Four from The Cartoon Network channel and Totally Spice from Disney Channel are her children's top choices of cartoon programs that they usually watch. Felicity's children spent approximately 30 minutes to an hour a day in watching TV.They watch TV while having their lunch, during t he night after their dinner and homework session and also if they don't have tuition classes to attend that day. When asked about how she feels watching TV is harmful to her children, she said: ââ¬Å"As a mother, of course I agree to the statement that watching TV is harmful to my children because long hours of engagement with watching TV will make them slack off and forgot what they suppose to do. That is why I set time-limits for them to watch TV. ââ¬Å".By the way, Felicia admitted that she does not like the idea much of her children itching TV so often that is why she got them many story books of their choice and books of the cartoon they like to watch, and she insists on them reading the cartoon books first then only she allows them to watch the programs on TV. She said it helps as her children find it nice that they get to read books of their favorite cartoon programs. She suggests that the best solution is to divert children's interest to other activities which is beneficia l to them.Leave them more options like indoor and outdoor activities, spending more family time with them and explaining to them that TV is harmful to them. Family four Wendy Simi is currently thirty-eight years old and is the mother of two daughters. She used to work as an accountant before becoming a full-time housewife. She claimed that she is not aware nor heard of the statement stated before. Since Wendy has not heard of the statement, she cannot really come to an agreement regarding the statement. But she stated that she does realize watching TV is harmful for her children eyes as it can cause eyesight problems. Her children usually watch cartoon channels from ASTOR. ââ¬Å"l, myself usually hand-picked the cartoons for them to watch. Just to ensure the programs are educational, that they can actually learn something usually spend one to two hours per day in watching TV after their school time and also after they have completed their schoolwork. If during their school holidays or the weekends, the period of watching TV will be longer ââ¬â two to three hours a day. When asked about as a parent, does she feel that TV is harmful to her children, she said: miss, we can't deny that TV has played its role in educating the children but if spending too much time on it, it will be harmful to my children. Their schoolwork and exams will lay forgotten in their school bags. And they will have eyesight problems for sure. â⬠To solve this problem among children, Wendy stated that she will shorten the length of time her children spend on watching TV because after knowing the statement, she realized her children spent too much time on watching TV.In order to diversify her children's attention from the TV, he will try to make them focus more on their studies or encourage them to go for sports activities such as swimming and dancing. Family five A house wife with a family of three, So Me Way said that she is not aware of the tenement of problems that are caused to children by watching TV. She found the statement is weird as she could not see any logic in how watching TV can harm her child. The forty years old mother said that her only son usually watches cartoon programs that are shown on the TV.When asked what type of cartoon her son usually watches, she said she has no idea about it. Her son watches almost every cartoon that is shown on the TV, regardless in what language that is delivered by the cartoon shows. She does not limit or schedule the time for her son to watch the TV, her son is ere to watch anytime he favors and is allowed to watch until the show is over. ââ¬Å"l don't see there is any reason in stopping him watching cartoon shows that he likes,â⬠she said. As a mother, she does not really feel TV is harmful to her son. I'm neutral for the statement. â⬠she said. She also added that as long as the show that her son is watching does not contain anything that is inappropriate for his age, there is no reason that watchin g TV is harmful for her son. However, if there comes a point where her son watches shows that contain inappropriate contents, she will take capillary actions. She prefers giving her son lectures regarding about what TV shows that are suitable for him to watch, because to her, beating is overrated. Art B With reference from the interviews carried out on parent's with children on their television watching habits, we can see that the problem is that parent's in secured on their children watching the television. In addition to that, the statements seems very appealing for the parent's as they fear for their kids brain development growth and the statement can be of a good excuse to prevent their children from watching television. Secondly, looking from the children's point of view, the problem children faces is they do not know what kinds of programs are suitable for their age.Sometimes, out of innocence they would find themselves watching a program which is inappropriate. As an example, matured shows such as The Matrix contain violent content like gunfire, fighting or sexual content. Other than that, some Japanese animation sometimes contains mild sexual themes. Children cannot make the watching inappropriate programs for their age. Because children can pick up Just anything from the programs they watched easily. If it's a good influence, no harm done. What if it's the other way round?Children sometimes may carry out these acts on someone thinking its normal or it's the new social trend and get themselves into trouble. Besides tuning into inappropriate programs, children also tend to spend too much time on watching TV. Most parent's feel that the television is the root of their children being spoil and its where the pick up most of the social trend from. Parent's says that sometimes kids these days are taking watching television as a hobby where if without it they would be spending their time reading or doing physical activities to pep themselves healthy.Hence, li ke what the statement has stated, it may decrease their IQ which is leaving worry especially to parent's. The parties which find themselves having this problem are both parent's and children. Parent's are too afraid of their children being too influence by watching television and the children are the victims of the statement. Firstly, not every parent has the time to keep an eye on what they children are watching. Looking at our life styles these days, parent's are very much work- oriented which leads to them spending lesser time at home with heir children.Though, parent's do try to make do with a schedule for their children to follow as to how long the duration on watching the television and what program they are allowed to watch, in the end the children are left alone or with their sitters to monitor them. How often do you find those children following the schedule? Secondly, parent's who knew about the statement would most probably start banning their children from watching TV an ymore. This isn't really the right way to solve this problem because children will most probably do not understand why their parent's o so and the urge to watch TV for all the time will get stronger. So there is no point in banning children from watching TV Just because the statement said so. Looking from the children's point of view, they are too engrossed with the programs that they tend to have it as a hobby. This is also a problem to their social life as soon interaction among young children will lesser. No doubt that should they be watching good program such as the once you can find on the Discovery or National Geographic which helps develop critical thinking about the society and the world. What happens f they watch cartoon program that uses improper language or unethical behavior.Children have to learn more about the kind of program that they are watching. After all, excessive amount of time being spent on watching TV will indeed harm them. There is no doubt that parent's want the best for their children. By knowing about the statement now, they would be more passive about the idea of their children watching TV. Having said that, to not lose our Job as working for a television station, we need to change the mind set of these parent's. Parent's should also understand that there are always two sides of a coin. Watching television may be harmful, but by not watching is also harmful, as the television reflects the real world. For the children to not see people like themselves in race, ethnicity, or physical ability. For example may diminish their self -worth. A lack of role models should spark discussion about how TV portrays different types of people. Being the people behind the television station, we too have to see the children as students to be educated, as future citizens to be engaged in the community, or simply as children, whose work is play and not as mind set. There are ways and measures that can be done to help parent's believe that watching televi sion can bring benefits to their children. The first tool that can be used to solve this problem is that insert more educational programs during after- school hours, because the children will be most probably watching TV during that period. By doing this parent's would feel more secured that their children would not be influence of the inappropriate behavior or language used. By replacing the shows of cartoons that use inappropriate language with educational programs, the hillier will surely learn something by watching them. Hence, their parent's will not ban them from watching TV anymore.Besides educational programs, TV station can also create tutorial programs for students up to secondary school to have them guided through their major exams such as PUPS, MR. and SUM. For example having programs such as Educational programming can develop young children's colonization and learning skills. Other than that, news, current events and historical programming can help make young people mor e aware of other cultures and people. Documentaries can help develop critical thinking about society and the world. Parent's should be aware of this as it benefits their children.During the nights, where before children go to bed there can be programs that are recommended for family viewing with this it gives family members of all ages an opportunity to spend time together. Other than that, these TV programs may explore controversial or sensitive issues, which can make it easier for parent's and kids to discuss them as they are watching it together. The second tool that can be used to solve this problem is that, our television station could come up with a system which is friendlier for parent's monitor they schedule of the programs their children are watching.Parent's could make do a schedule to limit children's time on watching TV. This system would especially help parent's who are away from their children. The system will form an age restrictions to prevent children from tuning in into inappropriate programs on the TV. This helps so that parent's do not find their children watching the wrong programs. The system will also enable parent's to view a summary on the program hey would wish for their children to watch. They can view it in the television itself, via online or in their monthly TV guide. The information we will provide are like the language used, should there be guidance, the behavior of the casts. If there should be guidance, the system will not allow the program to be viewed. To view it there should be a code that has to be type in. With this parent's would feel more secured as they can monitor their children's viewing habits and they will also be able to see the viewing program history to know if their children have watched other programs. The last tool would be television stations can use TV as a catalyst to get kids reading following up on TV programs by getting books on the same subjects or reading authors whose work was adapted for the programs. With this parent's would feel more secured as it helps their children to develop reading habits. Children will be more enthusiastic to read as they have an idea of what they are reading. By doing this, children can learn important values and life lessons as well. As an example, programs such as Hannah Montana, Thro, Ben 10 and so on has the book version.Being the television station what we can do is that we can sell these books or for the viewers who want it so it would be easier for parent's to purchase it and it is create powerful touchstones. TV also enables young people to share cultural experiences with others. This helps the children in many ways. Conclusion As portrayed, not all parent's are unaware of these circumstances. In fact, some have already took up measures to these problems. Obviously, everyone did not literally ban their children from watching televisions. As a matter of fact, they simply limit the frequency. Therefore, the fact that children had been watching too much television had been overruled. On the other hand, in relation with the contents that their children had been watching, parent's has shown display of supervision. In fact, they are well aware of what their sons and daughters should and should not watch. Some shows such as Narrator or Ben 10 have some slight mild violence content; these contents are not harmful enough to be categorized as inappropriate for children. Therefore, it is safe to say that children are not watching violent shows, which has blood and gory contents.
